What your dues do
Our area of Northridge is great neighborhood and we work to keep it that way.
The Sherwood Forest Homeowners Association is a non-profit community organization run by volunteers. We are residents of the Sherwood Forest area who donate our time, pay our annual dues and are committed to ensuring our community continues to be a wonderful place to live.
Sherwood Forest is not bound by Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R’s). We don’t want to tell you what color to paint your house but generate a sense of community.
I believe the function of the Homeowner’s Association is to try and make our area a better place to live.
Some of our best actions have been in land use and zoning issues. In the past we have worked to remove a problematic Sober Living Facility from the neighborhood that caused plight and harassed it’s neighbors. The parking lot at Target was re-designed to protect the abutting neighbors. At the corner of Balboa and Parthenia ninety-seven condos were proposed but we successfully blocked what would have caused over development of a small corner lot. Commercial Development along Parthenia has been proposed and blocked by our group.
One of our most successful events is the Annual Block Party and new neighborhood signs with the official naming of our Sherwood Forest neighborhood. We hope you support these efforts.

- Non Resident Business Directory Listing and Newsletter – $85 (Please include Business Card)
Membership registration and renewals are due each January 1.
Dues help with mailing costs, community efforts and Sherwood Forest neighborhood events.

Business Directory Fees
For 1 year your business can be listed for $60, if you live in Sherwood Forest or $85 if you don’t live in the neighborhood. If you’d like a business directory listing, please provide the necessary information with your check.
In addition, if you’d like a business card size ad in the newsletter to be displayed in the Sherwood Forest Semi-Annual Newsletter. Your ad will be displayed in the Spring and/or Fall 2015 editions. The newsletters will be distributed to the more than 1,100 homes/residences in the Sherwood Forest area.
